As a small village called Wasset, Luxor's history dates back to 2000 years BC. their beginning. Huge temples and immaculate works of art still bear witness to the size and power of ancient Thebes, the magnificent capital of a bygone world empire - a cultural and economic center at the same time.
The fairytale Colossi of Memnon are carved into the mountain range above the Valley of the Kings. Remarkable are the still visible natural colors of the various wall paintings and reliefs that were applied 3,000 years ago and which you can admire for yourself.
The day trip to Luxor also includes a visit to the Temple of Karnak. The Karnak Temple is by far the largest temple complex in Egypt and the most important place of worship from the time of the pharaohs. It was built over a period of more than 2,000 years. The ram figures, also known as the avenue of sphinxes, are waiting in line for you. After the first pylon you will find the portico in the vestibule with its 134 columns with relief fittings. Passing standing obelisks you reach the sanctuary. Next to it is the Sacred Lake, which was used for the ritual ablutions of the priests and temple utensils.

Pickup
You will be picked up in the early morning and then drive in a modern, comfortable, and air-conditioned car via Safaga through the newly developed desert road about 225 km to the Nile Valley in Qena. Stop briefly at a rest stop along the way to use the restroom or stretch your legs. Then we drive to Luxor. The Lunch
The bus will take you to Thebes West, where you will enjoy a typical local lunch.

After lunch, explore the world-famous Valley of the Kings with an interior tour of the Tombs of the Kings.

Then drives to the Terrace Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the ruler for almost a generation, choosing a truly beautiful site for her terrace temple - a masterpiece of the time. An interesting place for photographers for great pictures.

Wir haben bei HRG Reiseberater einen Tagesausflug von Hurghada nach Luxor gebucht, alles super organisiert. wir haben viele sehenswürdigkeiten in luxor besichtigt und eine nilfahrt mit privatem boot gemacht. danke für die tolle erfahrung.
